What the heck is so offending to CNN by Hasslebeck?

All she said was that Michelle Obama came with a list of topics not allowed to touch on the "view"... roll the drums and thunders, throw in some Hannity bashing. CNN is engaged in manufacturing rage.

Pearls of wisdom: "Hasslebeck gets her info from Sean little ball of hateread, that's what you expect". (giggles in the background)

"Showbiz tonight viewers called CNN and asked Hasslebeck be reprimanded by the view".

"Do you think she should be fired for breaking an unwritten rule about talking about what's going on behind stage?"

"I'm not a fan of her, but she shouldn't be fired. Wait did I say that?" Thunderous laughter.

My exit question: Who are these people? Should anyone care what they think, including the stern faced looking host? Did CNN ever question anything the other View ladies did and say - anything?! Amazingly stupid. Another hoo-haa out of nothing.

Obama on O'Reilly, Socialism is neighborliness

Obama on O'Reilly, Socialism is neighborliness... I don't have the clip, but I heard it. He said that if "I'm sitting fine, and a waitress isn't - taking more from my pay to pay her is neighborly". It wasn't in that order, but it was said. O'Reilly pressed him - that's socialism, he tried to convince us that it's the "neighborly thing to do".

I'm not dreaming, he's a candidate of the socialist ticket. Unbelievable.
Update
Thanks to reader Tom, here's the video, you judge:

Palestinians were tortured and murdered in Israeli prison. By Hamas

Perhaps when we look now at the stories on TV on how N' Vietnam used to torture US's POW including presidential hopeful McCain, we can think of elsewhere in the world where torture is still all too frequent - and no one wastes a word to denounce.

MEMRI:Mus'ab Hassan Yousef, Son of a West Bank Hamas Leader: Atrocities Committed by Hamas Led Me to Convert to Christianity

Following are excerpts from an interview with Mus'ab Hassan Yousef, the son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheik Hassan Yousef, which aired on Al-Hayat TV on August 19, 2008:

Mus'ab Hassan Yousef: My name is Mus'ab Hassan Yousef. I am the eldest son of Sheik Hassan Yousef. I was born in the village of Bir Zeit, near Ramallah.

[...]

Yousef: My father began his Islamic activity from the very beginning by founding the [Palestinian branch] of the Muslim Brotherhood, by preaching to join it, and by recruiting young Muslim men for the sake of Allah and Islam.

[...]

Yousef: To be honest, I hated the occupation. I hated every Israeli soldier carrying a gun and every settler. I threw stones, and I participated in the Intifada in all its forms. Call it peaceful activity if you like, or call it violence, but I participated in the Intifada in most of its forms. This included throwing stones, burning tires, and so on – activities in which most of the youth took part. I was a child, not even a young man, in that period, which lasted six years. I used to go to the mosque all the time. When I was five, I fasted for the first time in the month of Ramadhan. Until my conversion to Christianity, I used to fast during the entire month of Ramadhan.

[...]

Yousef: I did not know that my father was one of the founders of Hamas. It was a secret, and I did not know anything about it.

[...]

Yousef: I never joined Hamas, but I loved the movement because of my love for my father. I began to go to high school. During that period, due to my father, my knowledge of Islam and the Koran, and my personality, I became a leader of the Islamic bloc. I was the head of the Islamic bloc at the Ramallah high school. We were involved in the rivalry between Fatah and Hamas, which has existed since Hamas was founded – internal struggles for power and for influence over the public.

[...]

Yousef: About ten days before the end of the final exams, I was arrested by the [Israeli] special forces. They gave me a brutal beating, and broke my jaw. They interrogated me for three months at the Russian Compound detention center, where I was held in solitary confinement.

[...]

Yousef: After three months of interrogation, I was transferred to a prison where Palestinian prisoners from all factions were held. Even though the prison is run by the Israelis, the prisoners manage affairs on their own. Each faction plays a role in the management of the prisoners' affairs. Hamas was the majority in the prison. This was not the case at the beginning of the Intifada, when Fatah was the majority, but later, Hamas became the majority and had control of the prison – especially over its own people, who were the majority. This was the beginning of my awakening.

[...]

Yousef: As a child, I believed that all Muslims are like my father. If you are brought up on Islamic values – how do you turn out? You will be like my father, who is my role model, and whom I love very much. But then, my surprise began. After three days or so, [I began witnessing] greed and avarice, prisoners stealing food from others, prisoners enjoying things that not all prisoners could enjoy, such as visits inside the wings, which were restricted to some leaders of the Islamic movement in the prison. Such things may happen. People may become greedy sometimes, and their faith weakens, and they eat more. This is not our business. But the problematic thing was the interrogation of people suspected of collaborating with Israel. That was one of the most serious things, which led to a fundamental change in my life – not just in my life, but in the lives of many. Beatings, floggings, needles under the fingernails, the melting of plastic on the body, tying people to chairs for days and weeks... Hamas – or to be more precise, the Hamas leadership in prison – all played a role in this. They all praised and applauded the Hamas security apparatus, and even backed them fully when they tortured prisoners. I don't want to mention names. The Palestinian people are unaware of this. To be honest, I am sorry that the Palestinian press, which is supposed to be free, has not shed light on what goes on in prison. These people have made sacrifices. Some of them have been in prison for 20 years. How can you interrogate them, accusing them of collaborating with the occupation? He made sacrifices, just like you and me, and is a human being, like you and me. How can you place yourself above these people, and torture them, flog them, and interrogate them? We are talking about brutal, violent torture. Imagine, all night long... I was only 18 years old, sleeping in my bed under conditions... In a prison of the occupation... But that was not enough – they had to create a prison within the prison, and inflict torture in addition to the [Israeli] torture. For a whole year, I would hear people being tortured screaming all night long. Sometime they interrogated three people at the same time, and they would torture them in the most brutal ways. In approximately three years, no fewer than 16 people were killed. I say to the people of my region, Ramallah, if they are watching this show – who killed brother Muhammad Abu Shaqra? Outside prison, people believed Israel killed him, but in fact, it was Hamas. Later, Hamas paid "blood money" as compensation for its crime.

[...]

Yousef: I call upon the Palestinian people to open its eyes and see what Hamas was doing, when it functioned as a mini-state within the prison, and was in control inside the prison.

Like I said before - is the only hope for Arabs in Gaza Judea and Sumeria - a mass conversion to Christianity?

Random thoughts about VMA

First - the story is covered in depth here:

MTV piles on the Palin family; host Russell Brand promotes Obama, bashes America, Bush, and Christians; viewer backlash;

  • Next venue for political activism and America bashing: Nickelodeon kids choice award...
  • VMA is a dead cat for a while now, so is MTV. I wouldn't say - who cares, just - who's still surprised?
  • I'm pretty sure I heard crickets during the diatribe. At first there were people laughing, then even the music people at the crowd figured out that there's something very wrong going on there.
  • As O'Reilly mentioned in his Radio show today, the more insane attacks from the left on Palin's family - the stronger the McCain/Palin ticket gets. He can add yesterday's VMA to his montage of haters he played on the show.
  • How are MTV trying to appeal to young music fans? By attacking the most popular band today "The Jonas Brothers" for having a promise ring? If you ask me - promise rings are standard attire for Disney pop stars, and are meaningless. As I well know - there are many insane people out there who will go crazy against you if you say something remotely negative about that boy-band. Watch out.
  • You know you reached a new low when Sarah Silverman's act begins to look classy in comparison.
  • You know the old Hollywood saying, "Who did you have to F@@K to get this job?" - look at that Russel, I feel sorry for whoever was at the other side of that transaction. (I'm sorry that was a nasty note)
  • Next year's VMA host - some sheep herder from Albania. Still will have higher class.
  • Many mentioned plagarism of Chris Rock jokes - and still the crowd was not laughing.
  • You know you are horrible when even the VMA crowd can't laugh at your jokes.
  • What was that joke about Madonna feeling like vergin with a baseball bat? Classy... very classy. Not that you would get any sympathy for Madonna here, but what a horrible thing to put on TV.
  • Thanks Viacom for not letting him dress up like Osama Bin Laden this time. Still don't know what to look for next...
  • As the show goes on - and no one is cheering for him or laughing at his jokes - he begins shouting. Classy "comedian".
  • I wrote too much. VMA - Who gives a Sh@@
  • Mid-show there was an apology for Jonas Brother and rings jokes. Both a slime and coward within hours.

Obama: My Muslim Faith, Reporter: Your Christian, Obama: Of course, whatever

Wouldn't you get confused if your pastor was Wright, and your best buddies are from Syria and Pakistan and you "organize" events for Farahan?

No - he's not a Muslim and I'm not suggesting anything here. He is a lawyer, and aren't lawyers well trained in saying about everything "alleged". My alleged faith... For someone who is supposedly an excellent speaker - that's more than a gaff. Is it so hard to say my alleged faith? How can "alleged faith" come out as "Muslim faith"?

To be completely fair, he was in mid sentence, and put in context it is clear what he was saying. Having being stopped and corrected by the reporter only exacerbated the situation.

France today: Swastikas, Antisemitic Grafiti at Colleges, Violent attacks on Jewish teens

France today: Swastikas, Antisemitic Grafiti at Colleges, Violent attacks on Jewish teens.
Two separate articles from the same source:

Swastikas, racist and anti-Semitic tags on French college walls

French police have launched an investigation after around 40 swastikas, racist and anti-Semitic insults were sprayed on a college’s walls in Agde, in the Hérault department, southern France.
French Education Minister Xavier Darcos inspected the graffiti on Thursday and firmly condemned what he termed “violent profanities”.
He has asked for a swift investigation and said the culprits would be severely punished.
"We see that the work to fight ignorance which is the source of these forms of barbarism and provocation must not be stopped," the minister said

Three young Jews attacked in Paris on their way to synagogue

French police search for the aggressors of three Jewish men wearing a kippa or yarmulke who were attacked Saturday by a group of youths of similar age in Paris while walking to a synagogue for the Shabbat office.
According to Raphael Haddad, head of the Union of Jewish students in France, the three victims -aged 17 and 18- were struck by stones and blows thrown by a group of ten young men, who later escaped.

The victims, who lodged a complaint to police, were treated in hospital. One of them is suffering from wounds at the face.

A spokesman for the Interior Minister confirmed Sunday the anti-Semitic character of this attack. “We have enough elements to confirm it,” Gérard gachet, a spokesman for Interior Minister Michèle Allio-Marie said.

The minister condemned «with the utmost firmness the anti-Semitic violence against young Jews going to the synagogue."

A similar attack occurred in the same area of Paris’s 19th district on June 22 when Rudy Haddad, a 17-year- old Jewish man was severely injured. He too was wearing the Jewish religious head covering and was leaving a nearby synagogue after Saturday’s prayer office.

The Bureau of Vigilance against anti-Semitism, a group monitoring anti-Semitic incidents in France, stressed the growing feeling of insecurity of Jews living in the Buttes de Chaumont area area in the 19th district of Paris.

The group urged the French capital’s Mayor to reinforce police forces in the area in view of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays.

A couple of notes:

  1. How soon will we see this happening here at the US at the same rate as in France, considering how strong the Muslim immigrant community is becoming and how no one is taking their antisemitism to task?

  2. Try to apply the following "not really an old Chinese saying" on the situation in France for Jews:When small people make large shadows, you know the sun is setting.

Foxnews reports finally on "child-to-grown man forced marriage ending in murder of child by parents"

By finally I mean that at least Foxnews, as a main stream media outlet, has finally picked up on one of these stories. If you check out Jihad-Watch, The-religion-of-peace or weasel zippers, you would notice that these kind of stories happen much more often than reported by MSM. These stories are a "non issue" in places like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other Islamic misogynist places.

FoxNews: Girl Forced to Marry at Nine Murdered After She Sought Annulment
A 17-year-old Pakistani girl forced to marry a 45-year-old when she was only nine was reportedly killed by her parents, according to the Weekend Australian.

The murder has intensified despair among human rights workers in Pakistan over a recent spate of "honor killings," in which two women and three teenage school girls were buried alive in Baluchistan Province because they wanted to marry the men of their choice.

Saira Nusrat Bibi was successfully fighting a legal battle to have her marriage annulled. As she left court in the Punjabi city of Sahiwal, she was surrounded by a group of men reportedly sent by her parents, and shot in front of police, The Australian reported.

The Baluchistan case was worsened by an attempt by a member of the country's national parliament, Senator Israr Ullah Zehri, to defend it, telling colleagues that "these are centuries-old traditions and I will continue to defend them,” The Australian reports.

The story continues on the australian news source fox-news took it from. I don't know if news.com.au is part of Rupert Murdoch's network.

Foxnews on GOP's behalf - clearing up lies and rumors about Palin

Wouldn't expect any other news outlet to do so, allow clearing up on lies spread about a GOP person. CNN and MSNBC are still engaged in spreading some of these lies, if not let them be told and unchallenged. While foxnews is doing the objectively journalistic ethical thing, it makes them look biased because no other news outlet attempts to debunk lies or at the very least challenge them.
Top 7 Myths, Lies and Untruths About Sarah Palin
Lies debunked in the article:
1) Palin “Joined a Secessionist Political Party”
...

2) Palin Supported a “Nazi Sympathizer”
The Charge: “Palin was a supporter of Pat Buchanan, a right-winger or, as many Jews call him: a Nazi sympathizer,” Obama Florida spokesman Mark Bubriski was quoted as saying in a Miami Herald article.

The Facts: While mayor of Wasilla, Palin wore a Buchanan button during the sometimes presidential candidate’s 1999 visit. But Palin actually supported Steve Forbes in 2000, and served as a co-chair on his Alaska campaign.

In the weeks after the 1999 report of her wearing the Buchanan button, Palin said: “When presidential candidates visit our community, I am always happy to meet them. I’ll even put on their button when handed one as a polite gesture of respect. … The article may have left your readers with the perception that I am endorsing this candidate, as opposed to welcoming his visit to Wasilla.”
3) Palin “Wants Creationism Taught in School”
...
4) Palin “Was Nearly Recalled” While Mayor
...
5) Palin “Opposes Sex Education”
...
6) “This Picture Proves Palin is …”
...
7) Palin is the grandmother, and not the mother, of Trig Palin
...

I quoted the entire thing about Buchanan because this provides the answer to my previous post. The McCain camp clarified that she never did support Buchanan, but only warmly welcomed a candidate at her small town, hence the antisemitism by association charge is cleared.

Worst Mother in the world: Lynn Spears discusses her daughter's loosing virginity at 14 to promote a book

Still, stunned. Speechless. Dirty dirt - gets dirtier. Don't buy the book - don't finance that dirt bag family anymore.

Foxnews:Mom: Britney Spears Lost Virginity at Age 14
Britney Spears was not so innocent long before Justin Timberlake, according to her mother.

In a tell-all book, Spears' mother, Lynne, says her daughter lost her virginity to a high school football player when she was 14.

Lynne Spears, 53, also says Spears began drinking when she was a 13-year-old Mouseketeer and began experimenting with drugs at 15.

By age 16, Britney was caught with cocaine and marijuana on a private jet, Lynn Spears claims.

The book, "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World," is set for release Sept. 16, but the U.K.'s Sun published excerpts on Thursday.

Lynne also says she regrets of losing control of Britney's career to handlers who promoted her as a sex object and put her in raunchy videos.

She admits she allowed her then 16-year-old daughter to sleep with Justin Timberlake, her Mickey Mouse Club co-star, and went along with the hoax that Britney was a virgin and saving herself for marriage.

In 2003, Timberlake told reporters, "She lost her virginity a while ago — and I should know." He also told Barbara Walters that he gave Britney her first kiss.

Lynne Spears reveals Timberlake was misled and that Britney lost her virginity to a Kentwood, La., high school football player.

Lynn was already a horrible mother when - after finding her Disney money making daughter drugged out - continued to pimp her out to the entertainment business. Already ruined - so what's the point? Right? Then she shoved her second daughter into the same dirt.

Worst mom in the world is officially crowned by revealing her self and her family in a book. What's the book name? "Shameless worst mom in the world pimps out her ho daughters?" YUCK!

The only thing she regrets is "losing control of Britney's career to handlers who promoted her as a sex object". Mommy dearest. Regrets her gold laying hogoose is laying no more gold eggs.

Nice "research" fox - dig up more dirt on a girl's virginity. Who cares what her ex says - or her mom says, or what she says. This is your headline? This is your content? When did some trashy woman lost her virginity?! Is this some sort of a high school rumor mill?!

IBD: The Obamas want to create a boot camp for radicals who hate the military — and stick American taxpayers with the bill

Updated:
Reader Ellie, wrote in a comment:
Public Allies is not a radical organization. In fact, the Bush administration tripled its funding, named them a model of faith-based and community initiatives, and hired them to help other nonprofits improve their services (they teach people how to fish rather than give them fish). Also, John McCain has championed and called for more than tripling AmeriCorps programs like Public Allies if he is elected.

The organization does not sponsor, endorse or participate in partisan or protest activities whatsoever and its service is conducted in partnership with groups like American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs, faith-based organizations, and even charter and choice schools.

The organization’s leadership curriculum is fairly similar to the types of leadership curricula that FORTUNE 500 companies use. Public Allies’ effective management and business savvy led Fast Company Magazine to give them a “Social Capitalist Award.”

After college I participated in the Public Allies program for one year. I was placed with a faith based, non-profit organization that helps homeless, single mothers become productive citizens who are able to support their families. It was a service to my country and fellow American citizens that I am very proud of - nothing at all like the 'radical boot camp' described here.

Ellie - I'll take your word for it and will assume the best on this case.

Original Post:
The audacity of supporting radicals.

IBD: Michelle's Boot Camps For Radicals
Democrats' reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume: Public Allies.

Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service."

Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of "social change."

The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical. It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year "community leadership" positions with nonprofit or government agencies. They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three retreats.

In exchange, they'll get a monthly stipend of up to $1,800, plus paid health and child care. They also get a post-service education award of $4,725 that can be used to pay off past student loans or fund future education.

But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul "The Red" Alinsky.

"Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to . . . engage in protest activities," Public Allies boasts in a document found with its tax filings. It has already deployed an army of 2,200 community organizers like Obama to agitate for "justice" and "equality" in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities, including Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington. "I get to practice being an activist," and get paid for it, gushed Cincinnati recruit Amy Vincent.

Public Allies promotes "diversity and inclusion," a program paper says. More than 70% of its recruits are "people of color." When they're not protesting, they're staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms, bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.

Public Allies brags that more than 80% of graduates have continued working in nonprofit or government jobs. It's training the "next generation of nonprofit leaders" — future "social entrepreneurs."

The Obamas discourage work in the private sector. "Don't go into corporate America," Michelle has exhorted youth. "Work for the community. Be social workers." Shun the "money culture," Barack added. "Individual salvation depends on collective salvation."

"If you commit to serving your community," he pledged in his Denver acceptance speech, "we will make sure you can afford a college education." So, go through government to go to college, and then go back into government.

Many of today's youth find the pitch attractive. "I may spend the rest of my life trying to create social movement," said Brian Coovert of the Cincinnati chapter. "There is always going to be work to do. Until we have a perfect country, I'll have a job."

Not all the recruits appreciate the PC indoctrination. "It was too touchy-feely," said Nelly Nieblas, 29, of the 2005 Los Angeles class. "It's a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias."

One of those -isms is "heterosexism," which a Public Allies training seminar in Chicago describes as a negative byproduct of "capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy and male-dominated privilege."

The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses through Clinton's AmeriCorps. Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the military, he said.

The gall of it: The Obamas want to create a boot camp for radicals who hate the military — and stick American taxpayers with the bill.

This is a blog, and I should inject my opinion - I'm just kind of speechless right now. How can half the country support this?

Random mid-convention / post Palin speech thoughts

  • The Palin speech was great. Much better than anything said at the DNC convention. Palin is there to rally the right wing - not to bring in fringe and extreme lefti feminists.
  • It's about energy independence - the only real hope we need, not about rainbows and butterflies. Palin brings it to the table with experience.
  • I'm disgusted with conversations regarding Palin's family issues. It doesn't define her as less or more of a conservative but only as a human being dealing with human issues. Teens do what teens do, I do not think less or more of a person for that. It's life, it happens and everybody deals with it his own way when has to.
  • Palin's husband is not a Mr.Mom - from what I understand they own a business (or two), and shared responsibilities in family and business together. It's disturbing beyond belief to assume the worst just because a family is in the spotlight. I'm full of admiration for the Palin couple for their achievements in life. They ARE a role model, to conservatives and liberals alike.
  • I'd rather a man stay at home and tend to his children if his wife is capable of supporting the family better. I know in many cases the wife would prefer to stay home herself. It's not a "single-not married person without children"'s place to judge issues which only people with experience can identify with. (However I might respect that person's opinion on other subjects). Working doesn't make you less of a parent, parenting full time doesn't make a man less musculent and authorative (watching lifetime network does :-) ).
  • You know Obama has been pushed to a corner when he betrays his Kos crowd and goes to interview at O'Reilly.
  • Best keyword last night "styrofoam columns".
  • DNC's talking point about "McCain won't fight for women's rights and equal pay" disappered. It would be amusing if it would reappear - just because someone didn't get the memo.
  • A question to ask the Obama crowd - would you rehire Maddelen Olbright? Would you follow her example on how to deal with N' Koria? (If you know what I mean)
  • Would Obama's presidency follow the Clinton's actions - or Carter? Which is worst? (kidnapping a kid to return forcefuly to Cuba, attacks on cults, rise of Iran, high taxes - high inflation... many horrible things from both presidencies)
  • No word on healthcare - not sure it's a smart thing to leave this DNC talking point up in the air.
  • I recommend reading: Malkin: One more thing about that “someone wrote the speech for her” insult
Just my two cents.

P.S.
The situation with Palin's 17 year old only forces us - people with children to look ourselves in the mirror and ask - what would we do, how would we face it. There's no clear answer. For sure what we wouldn't like is to be judged unfairly - nor would we want our children to be someone else's political talking point or beating post. There are private matters which should remain private - no matter how public your life is. Condescending criticism only reflects poorly on the critic at this point.

Obama's economic plan explained well by Fred

Skip directly to 22:20 in the speech:

For me that was the highlight of the evening:
They're not going to tax your family, just tax businesses. So unless you buy something from a business, or take a paycheck from a business, don't worry - it's not going to affect you. Not going to take any water out of your side of the bucket just the other side of the bucket. That's their idea of tax reform.

That and hope/change/unicorns and rainbows...

War on terror colossal failure! Islamic Jihad leader - Al Arian free

Thanks Neal the douche-bag jury member for running interference for terrorists in US court. Israel still not demanding extradition.

From Jihad Watch: Al-Arian is free!

Spencer wants to remind us this murderous A-Hole Pleaded Guilty! He's free! To me, he's the face of Arabs in America, prove me wrong.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — A former Florida professor once accused of being a leading Palestinian terrorist has been released for the first time in more than five years.

Immigration authorities released Sami Al-Arian on Tuesday. They were holding him for refusing to testify before a grand jury about a cluster of Muslim organizations in northern Virginia.

The former University of South Florida professor has been in immigration custody since finishing a sentence on separate charges. He had been accused of being a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, but he was acquitted on many of those charges and a jury deadlocked on others. He eventually pleaded guilty to lesser charges....

Obama, confused who he's running against, argues for more experience than Palin

The clearest evidence of Panic on Obama's campaign is that instead of focusing on comparing himself with McCain, he's actually campaigning against Palin's experience in contrast to his. I'm sorry - what office is Obama running for - VP or President?

Fox news: Obama: I Have More Executive Experience Than Palin
experienced in executive matters than Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin because he has managed his presidential campaign for the past 18 months.

Speaking on a cable news channel Monday night, the Democratic presidential nominee said he is better prepared to handle a disaster like Hurricane Gustav because of his pursuit of the White House.

“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,” Obama said.

John McCain’s spokesman called the suggestion “laughable.”

“For Barack Obama to argue that he’s experienced enough to be president because he’s running for president is desperate circular logic and its laughable. It is a testament to Barack Obama’s inexperience and failing qualifications that he would stoop to passing off his candidacy as comparable to Governor Sarah Palin’s executive experience managing a budget of over $10 billion and more than 24,000 employees,” said spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Good job Obama, claiming to be qualified because you're running a very expensive campaign. I see he is an expert on spending - which should be great for a Democrat candidate. Even this so called "expertise" is seriously amusing. Clearly - he's not the one who actually manages his campaign's finance and employees.
