Feeling safe now? Man without legs getting pat down, forced to stand at airport

Just prior to this Orwellian sight, I saw a mom with 3 little girls under age of 7, all forced through X-Ray machine, and then getting a pat-down.

All happened on December 26th 2010 at Detroit airport, as I was traveling for a week in Hong Kong.
